So I rarely ever share black and white images, but I have no idea why not? I absolutely LOVE black and whites – in fact I have an entire room planned at my house for black and whites of all of our favorite memories. There was something that grabbed me when I was going through Maddie’s outdoor milestone mini session to start the upload, particularly the pictures with her mom in black and white that just showed so much emotion. Those made me think that I should start sharing more of these images. I deliver all images edited in black and white to my clients, but typically don’t post them on Facebook (you know I love my sunlight!!). I think after going through these though I’m going to make more of an effort to share these with the world.
Maddie and her family met me at the park early in the morning for her 5 year milestone session, but we were having so much fun that we had to add in some sibling and family pictures as well. I am pretty excited because I get to photograph Maddie’s school pictures this year and then I’ll see her again in February when her little sister turns one! We are going to be best friends!
And Maddie’s session was right at the end of our family vacation and the start of the crazy photography season (which I LOVE!). If you haven’t booked your fall session…. well …. ha ha ha no-one has technically booked (just a lot of requests) ! I am going to finalize my fall availability this week and I will open it for booking for my current clients first. I will offer 2 rounds of sunset mini sessions as well. I cannot even believe that it’s almost time to start thinking about holiday cards (and yes — I already have Santa booked for this year too!).
Here are some of my favorites (of course edited in black and white) from Maddie’s session.
