Well, “slow” season didn’t last very long! I just realized that I haven’t made time to sit down and blog any sessions in almost a month! Oops!
Now I’m not going to complain – I LOVE being so busy! I just need to work on a better workflow to be able to keep up with the blog posts. I am committed to keeping up with it this year!
So let’s go back and take a look at when Maya Rose came to visit me in my Hilliard studio for her newborn photography session. This session will be one that sticks with me for the long run … thanks to her big sister! When Athena walked in the door, she literally walk right up to me with her arms open wide and wanted me to pick her up. She gave me the biggest hug and flashed the biggest smile and my heart melted immediately! She continued this affection throughout the entire session. I admitted to her mom – handling newborns everyday actually doesn’t give me baby fever, but give me an adorable toddler that is just the sweetest thing in the world – that could make me want another! (No – it’s not happening – I don’t want anyone getting any ideas!)
Here are a few of my favorites from their session – and since Maya Rose was such a good little model for me, we even snuck in a little “mommy and me” session for Athena and her gorgeous mother! And some pictures with Grandma too! Honestly – Athena was so easy going, I could have taken her picture all day long <3
She snoozed of us for her first setup and then decided she wanted to give us some shots with her eyes open! …. and then back asleep again 😉
I love her lip sticking out in that first image!
Toddlers can be hit or miss during sessions. I try to have as much fun and make them as comfortable as possible when they are here, but you never know what you’re going to get. So to say I was pleasantly surprised with Athena’s cooperation during her sister’s newborn photography session is an understatement! She was amazing!
This backlit image is always a favorite pose of mine.
Oh you want me to take pictures with my sister? Sure!
She was so excited to get special pictures taken with mommy!
The tiny toes. The flaky skin. I love all of it.
This “potato sack” pose might be one of my favorites <3
A few of princess Athena by herself. Her personality was just too much for me!
I can’t wait to see these girls later this year for a family session! Looking for more info on my sessions? Check out all of my session info here or send me an email at [email protected]!
