I can’t believe it’s been almost a month since I last sat down to write a blog. This is also the first month that I have been a full time newborn photographer! And it’s been an amazing month! I honestly haven’t even sat down to count how many sessions I’ve had since I took the biggest leap of my life and how many I’ve booked and it’s the best problem I’ve ever had. It’s like the world knew that I was time for me to take my photography to a full time level and everything just clicked at the same time!
I have had the time to work on some new lighting techniques, I’ve had a chance to work on marketing tactics, and really have a chance to grow with not only the business side but also in my photography itself. And I’m literally loving every single day of it!
Not only have I had a lot of newborns in the studio but I’ve also had quite a few returning babies! Ms. Scarlett met me out in the park for her two year session – I cannot believe it has been two years since I took her newborn portraits! And she has grown into such a spunky little girl! Her personality is hysterical and we had an absolute blast running around the park with her parents.
Also I am going to try my best to work backwards and get all of 2018 blogged, but I can’t make any promises. I’ve been so excited to finally be full time and living my dream that I will admit that I may have overbooked myself a little. Oops! But if you’ve worked with me before you know that I really have a hard time turning away anyone basically because I feel everyone parent should have the opportunity to have their child photographed. And I’m also just so excited every single time I pick up the camera! I mean – I did it! I’m literally doing exactly what I love every single day!
