Drake’s older sister, Ava, was one of my first newborn session’s in my first “studio” and it feels like it was just yesterday. I have had the honor and pleasure of knowing Drake’s father since … well honestly since before I can remember. We grew up together and have celebrated some of my most memorable moments together. I’m so lucky that I have had Ryan in my life, and when he brought Courtney into our group, we couldn’t have loved her more! Unfortunately, life gets busy, we have kids, jobs etc and even though we only live a few miles apart, we definitely don’t see each other enough (Courtney — we need to plan that play date asap!).
But it means so much to me that they have trusted me with these huge steps and memories in their lives. And getting to watch the kids grow is so special to me – Ava and Nora are going to be amazing big sisters and I know that Drake is going to be spoiled rotten by these little mommies. I have to laugh at Ava in our past 2 sessions because she is just at the perfect age where she has changed so much and is really into our session and just cheeses it up for me – her little personality just makes me smile from ear to ear. It always melts my heart to watch older siblings who just want to love on the baby the entire time – and that’s all that Nora and Ava wanted to do – just kiss on Baby Drake as much as they could.
Please enjoy a few sneaks into Drake’s Hilliard newborn photography session. Congratulations Ryan & Courtney! We love you all!
Ryan had just sat down to get situation for family photos when Ava hopped up there and put her head on his shoulder. Seriously – are they not the cutest?
They are just the sweetest big sisters – they couldn’t get enough of that baby boy. And I don’t blame them – look how squishy and cuddly he looks.
Just one more kiss, mama.
I am obsessed with his back wrinkles in this picture. He is so squishy!
The owl hat and the blankie were both a part of his big sisters’ newborn sessions! How special to have these memories from each of the babies.
