Obsessed. I am absolutely OBSESSED with Sara’s studio maternity session. And it makes me laugh because I was really nervous, and stressed and even went into think “we’ll do this and have fun, but I don’t think I’ll actually ever offer this to clients”. And then I clicked the button. The very first click. And I stopped and said “I’m in love.” And I immediately knew this was something I needed to start offering to clients right away! We had so much fun while she was here and it filled my heart with so much happiness to be able to make her feel glamorous and beautiful during what can often be an awkward stage for a woman. Carrying a baby completely changes you. You don’t feel like yourself … well really ever again. But it’s such a beautiful and wonderful change.
When offering these to clients, I want them to feel like it’s a day of beauty for them. I suggest booking a hair and make-up appointment before coming, splurging on something to make them feel special. I offer dresses, skirts, sweaters etc for mamas – so don’t worry about what you’re going to wear – unless you have something that makes you feel gorgeous, then bring it along!
I recommend having your maternity session between 33-36 weeks so that you have a good size bump, but you aren’t feeling all swollen and uncomfortable yet. Contact me early in your pregnancy to book both your maternity and newborn session!
